Coastal lighting is special outdoor lighting designed for use near the sea. These lights are better able to handle salty air and wet weather than regular lights.
We have two main types of coastal lights available:
Our coastal lights have various IP ratings ranging from IP44 to IP65. These tell you how well the light can handle water and dust. The higher the number, the better the light can handle tough weather.
Lights with IP ratings between 44 and 65 can handle rain and splashing water, so they're fine for most outdoor areas, like on walls or near doors. Any rating below IP44 is better for indoor use.
IP44 indicates moderate protection against solid objects and water. The first “4” means the fixture is protected against objects larger than 1mm. The second “4” refers to the fixture being protected against water splashing from any direction.
